About Me (2022 Version; Updated)

I’m a Gen X widowed parent living in Northern England with my two sons.

I’m here to share life experiences and opinions, and I usually publish a few times a week — or daily if I’m doing a writing challenge!

So, how do I summarise myself?

My dad had a big influence on me, and I still remember him saying:

“It’s the people that make the difference.”

Over the years, I have come to understand his words, and how the people in my life matter more than material things.

But that still doesn’t tell you much about me. People often define themselves by their job. So maybe I’ll try that approach.

My work used to be electronics and software development, until I quit in 2012 to look after my wife and our children.

At some point in the last ten years, I started writing. I enjoy connecting with people — and there are stories I need to tell.

(Okay, I admit it: Nobody else will listen!)

Perhaps I should list a few of my interests… here goes:
